1. Vietnamese patent name, specification, claims, drawings and abstract of specification; 2. Power of attorney: signed or sealed by the applicant; 3. Priority documents: only for patents claiming priority under the Paris Convention; 4. Names, nationalities and addresses of applicants and inventors; 5. PCT International Application Number (for patent applications entering Vietnam through PCT); 6. If assignment is involved, proof of transfer is required.

3. Review Form

IPVN is subject to formal and substantive examination of utility model patents. IPVN has no restrictions on the field of utility model patent application. Utility models can be applied for in all fields covered by the invention, but all utility models will be subject to substantive examination, only novelty and practicality will be examined, not creativity. The patent applicant/person is required to make a substantive request no later than 36 months from the filing date.
