2. Review Form

IPVN (State Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam) conducts formal and substantive examination of invention patents. IPVN will complete the formal examination within 1 month from the date of application. For invention patent applications through the Paris Convention, the patent disclosure will be completed 19 months from the date of application/priority. For invention patents entered by PCT into Vietnam, the patent will be published within 2 months after the application enters the national phase of Vietnam. The patent applicant/person is required to make a substantive request no later than 42 months from the filing date. The application shall be made public within 2 months after the approval notice and enter the objection period. The objection period shall start from the date of publication and end on the date of authorization. Anyone may raise an objection to the disclosed patent during the objection period.
