1. Paris Convention route: Priority through the Paris Convention route is 12 months.

2. Review Form

The examination of Russian invention patents is divided into formal examination and substantive examination. After the filing of the application, the Russian Patent Office conducts a preliminary examination to determine whether the basic requirements set out in the patent law are met. If the application meets the requirements, the Patent Office will issue a decision informing the applicant of the right to proceed to the substantive examination stage. At the substantive examination stage, the Russian Patent Office examines the application in detail to determine whether the invention is novel, inventive and industrially applicable. This process may take several years, depending on the workload of the patent office and the speed of response of the applicant.

4. Application Language

Russian (if submitted in another language, the Russian translation must be submitted within 2 months from the date of submission of the application)

5. to submit documents

1. Application documents: including specifications, claims, abstracts and drawings (utility models must have drawings); 2. Request: including the name of the invention, priority information (if any), PCT international application information (applications for PCT channels), Chinese and English names, addresses and nationalities of the applicant and the inventor; 3. Power of attorney: signed by the applicant without notarization or authentication; 4. Priority documents: if the application is made through the Paris Convention, the original priority certificate must be provided within 16 months from the priority date.
