2. Review Form

DIP (Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand) conducts formal examination and substantive examination of invention patent applications. Formal examination generally takes 1-1.5 years. Upon completion of the preliminary examination, the patent application will be published and a 90-day disagreement period will be entered. The applicant may submit a request for substantive examination only within 5 years after the application is made public.
