the examination committee of the New Zealand Intellectual Property Office conducts formal and substantive examination of the application, IPONZ automatically starts substantive examination within 15 days after receiving the design application, without the need for the applicant to submit a specific request separately, and can search for the novelty of the design when deemed necessary. If the review does not meet the requirements, the review report will list the reasons, and the applicant can modify it within 12 months (which can be extended for another 3 months) or request a hearing. If the review requirements are met, the applicant will be notified and the results will be made public by Intellectual Property New Zealand.

3. protection period

The design is automatically protected for 5 years from the date of application, and can be renewed twice, each time for 5 years, and the longest shall not exceed 15 years.

1. Patent name; 2. Chinese patent application acceptance letter; 3. Chinese patent application document (word version); 4. Six-sided view of the product (line drawing); 5. Copy of the applicant's business license or ID card; 6. The Chinese names and addresses of the applicant and the designer; 7. If the names and addresses of the applicant and the designer have the usual English translation, please provide them; If not, freely translated by Division I; 8. Request for copy of priority.
