Belarus accepts multiple types of applications, and the Trademark Law of the Republic of Belarus protects trade marks and service marks. Text, graphics and three-dimensional signs and other symbols or their combinations can be registered as trademarks.

3. Review Form

formal and substantive review. NCIP's preliminary examination of the trademark application shall be conducted within 2 months from the receipt of the application materials, including checking whether the application documents are complete, whether the writing is correct, and whether the prescribed fees have been paid. NCIP will make a decision to accept or reject the trademark application based on the results of the preliminary examination. After the application is accepted, the filing date and the priority date may be confirmed. If the application documents or the data contained therein do not meet the established requirements, the NCIP has the right to require the applicant to provide the amended documents within 3 months. If the applicant submits a request for extension before the expiration of the above period, the period may be extended by a maximum of 12 months. If the applicant fails to submit the amendment on time, the NCIP will reject the application. Based on the results of the substantive examination, NCIP will make a decision to register the trademark or reject the trademark application.

10 years from the date of application; can be renewed indefinitely for 10 years each time.
