3. Review Form

review process includes formal review, prior trademark search (optional), and distinctiveness review. The average time for the review process is 2-3 months, and in the case of a request for expedited review, the review can be completed in up to 10 days, provided that the documents are complete and the official fees are paid in a timely manner. ATPO does not examine whether there are identical or similar prior trademarks, and if there is an objection to a registered trademark, it may file an objection or revocation request with ATPO, or file a civil action, such as requesting an injunction.

4. protection period

is 10 years from the date of registration; it can be renewed within 12 months before the expiration date, and the extension period is 6 months; the renewal period is 10 years.
