3. Review Form

trademark registration is subject to substantive examination. The formal review shall be conducted within 1 month after the end of the grace period of 2 months from the date of application. Applicants may submit a request for an accelerated form review upon payment of a fee. The accelerated review will take place 10 working days from the date of submission of the request. The substantive review takes place after the formal review and does not require a time limit. (The new law requires the substantive examination to be completed within 12 months after the date of the application, while the new law only stipulates the starting time of the substantive examination.) Similarly, the applicant can submit an accelerated substantive examination within 20 working days after the formal examination decision.

4. protection period

trademark is valid for 10 years from the date of application and can be renewed upon expiration. Application for renewal should be made within 6 months before the expiration of the validity period, and the validity period after each renewal is also 10 years. If the trademark is not renewed in time, the trademark can be renewed within 6 months after the expiration, but the renewal fee will increase.
