2. Review Form

includes both formal and substantive review. After the patent application is submitted, INPI will conduct a preliminary examination within 1 month after receiving the application. If the form requirements are not met, the applicant will have a 2-month correction period. After passing the preliminary examination, INPI will disclose the patent application documents 18 months from the filing date or the earliest priority date. The substantive examination does not need to be submitted separately, and if there is no objection within 2 months, it will directly enter the actual examination stage. After the patent has passed the formal examination and substantive examination procedures, if the examiner considers that the conditions for authorization are met, the official will grant the patent right and issue a certificate, and the authorization decision will be made public in the official gazette.
