4. Review Form

formal examination and substantive examination. Bahrain trademark applications are subject to formal and substantive examination. Substantive examination includes distinctiveness examination and search of existing trademarks. An objection to a trademark may be filed within 60 days of the publication of the trademark application on the official website of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism.

5. protection period

10 years from the date of application. It can be renewed every 10 years, with no limit on the number of times. The renewal fee shall be paid in the year in which the registered trademark expires.
