Bulgaria accepts applications for more than one standard. You can apply for text trademarks, graphic trademarks, sound trademarks, collective trademarks, certification trademarks, etc. in Bulgaria with words, names, letters, numbers, paintings, graphics, shapes of goods or packaging, color combinations, sound signals or combinations of any of the above elements.

At the same time, BPO will also examine whether the trademark registration application fee is paid in full. If the payment certificate is not attached, the applicant will have 14 days to correct this defect. If the overdue period is made up within 14 days after the expiration of the period, double the application fee will be required. If the application fee is not paid within this period, the trademark application will be considered withdrawn. After the formal examination, the trademark registration application will enter the substantive examination stage, and the BPO will notify the applicant to correct the defects in the trademark application within one month. If the applicant is unable to eliminate the defects during this period, the review will be terminated.
