The examination at the substantive examination stage focuses on whether there is an objection to the registration of the trademark and whether the trademark violates any legal provisions. When the trademark examiner determines that there is no valid objection to the registration application or that there is no violation of the relevant provisions on trademark registration, the applicant will be given a notice of approval to register.
