Polish trademark examination forms are divided into formal examination and substantive examination. After examination, the examination officer found no absolute obstacles to the registration of the trademark, the trademark will be announced in the patent office announcement, from the date of the announcement within 3 months, the prior right holder can object. If an objection is raised, the Patent Office shall immediately notify the applicant and inform the parties (the applicant and the objector) of the possibility of amicable settlement of the dispute. The period for amicable settlement of disputes shall be 2 months from the date of delivery of the above-mentioned information to the party receiving the information at the latest, and this period may be extended to 6 months at the mutual request of both parties. If the parties do not reach an agreement, the Patent Office will continue to resolve the objection and make a decision to reject the objection or recognize it as reasonable in whole or in part. A trademark that has been ruled to be registrable upon opposition, or a trademark that has been announced without opposition, will be approved for registration and a registration certificate will be issued.

The Polish trademark is valid for 10 years after registration, and the validity period is calculated from the date of application; the renewal can be processed within 6 months before the expiration date, and the extension period is 6 months; the renewal is valid for 10 years. If the trademark is not used for 5 consecutive years after registration, any interested party may apply for the cancellation of the registered trademark.
