2. Review Form

The examination form of Indonesian invention patents is divided into two stages: formal examination and substantive examination. After filing an invention patent application and paying the fee, the Indonesian Bureau of Knowledge and Property will conduct a formal review of the application. In addition, the invention patent is subject to substantive examination before authorization. After there is no problem in substantive examination, the application will enter the announcement period. Within 6 months from the date of the announcement, anyone can object to the application. If there is no objection or the objection is not established, authorization can be obtained after the expiration of the announcement.
